SIMPLIFYING DA’WAH

It is Ustadh Kabir Nasir Al Asfar that often says some people’s perception and utterances in the da’wah circle usually show how much they are likely to be disconnected from people in their immediate communities. No preacher will be deeply connected to the people in his local community without realizing the need to be patient in dealing with Muslims who are struggling to keep their faith and abide by religious injunctions. Even a lot of those who understand Sunnah are struggling these days because of how evils are made to appear normal in society, let alone the ignorant people or struggling Muslims.

Let us not lose hope in anyone. Allāh is so powerful in the way He guides people. Ours is to simplify and disseminate the message. Guidance belongs to Allāh. Sometimes, you will hear how some people talk In the da’wah field and ask yourself how we got here. Some people are so harsh on fellow Sunni scholars, let alone ordinary Muslims. The instruction of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم for anyone who wishes to give da’wah is to make things easy for people. In a hadith, Anas Ibn Malik رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

يَسِّرُوا وَلاَ تُعَسِّرُوا، وَسَكِّنُوا وَلاَ تُنَفِّرُوا ‏

Make things easy for the people, and do not make it difficult for them, and make them calm (with glad tidings) and do not repulse (them ). (Sahih Bukhari, 6125)

May Allāh guide us aright.
